Andy Chiu Chen-yuan (Chinese: 邱臣遠; born 11 December 1981) is a Taiwanese politician who is the current deputy mayor and acting mayor of Hsinchu City since 2024. A member of Taiwan People's Party (TPP).[1] He previously served as the caucus leader of the TPP in the Legislative Yuan.

On 19 November 2019, Chiu was listed in the 4th place of the Taiwan People's Party (TPP) party-list for the proportional representation nationwide and overseas constituency of the 2020 Taiwanese legislative election and was successfully elected Member of the Legislative Yuan.[2]

He served as the caucus leader of the TPP in the Legislative Yuan from the sessions 3 to 8 of the 10th Legislative Yuan.

In the 2024 Taiwanese legislative election, Chiu was drafted by the TPP to run for the legislator for New Taipei City Constituency VIII, but was defeated to Kuomintang (KMT)'s candidate, Chang Chih-lun.

After Chiu's tenure ends as legislator, he was appointed Deputy Mayor of Hsinchu City, a position that has been vacant since 2023.

On 26 July 2024, Ann Kao, a member of the TPP and then-incumbent Mayor of Hsinchu, was suspended by the Ministry of the Interior from the position as mayor due to corruption charges. Chiu serve as the acting mayor during Kao's suspension.[3]
