File:Camas pocket gopher (3).JPG

Original file (4,000 × 3,000 pixels, file size: 5.3 MB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Summary

Description
English: Photograph taken on habitat restoration site where the gophers were being trapped out of concern that they were destroying sensitive vegetation. Due to the trap being too small, the animal's nose was caught for an indeterminate amount of time. Camas pocket gophers are the largest member of the species and are frequently too large for conventional traps. They can be tame, but fierce when in a defensive position.
