Kate & Mim-Mim is an animated children's television series created by husband-and-wife duo, Scott and Julie Stewart.^[3] Produced by Nerd Corps Entertainment^[2] in season 1 and later by DHX Media in season 2 with FremantleMedia Kids & Family, the first episode premiered on Disney Junior in the United States on December 19, 2014 until July 2, 2017 when Disney Junior lost the rights to air the series.^[4] The series also premiered in the United Kingdom on CBeebies on October 30, 2016.^[5]

The show focuses on the friendship and adventures of a little girl named Kate and her favorite toy, a plush bunny named Mim-Mim who go on daring adventures in the fictional world of Mimiloo.^[6]

Characters

Kate (voiced by Maryke Hendrikse in North America and Jessica Hann in the UK) is the protagonist. She is a 5-year-old girl who wears colored clothes and is best friends with a stuffed bunny named Mim-Mim.
Mim-Mim (voiced by Lee Tockar in North America and by Rob Foster in the UK) a plush purple bunny, is Kate's best friend.
Valerie (voiced by Nicole Oliver in North America and Joanna Ruiz in the UK) is Kate's mother.
Marco (voiced by David Godfrey in North America and Charlie Ryan in the UK) is Kate's father.
Boomer (voiced by Maryke Hendrikse in North America and Joanna Ruiz in the UK) is a blue creature and Lily's younger brother.
Lily (voiced by Tabitha St. Germain in North America and Jess Robinson in the UK) is a pink creature and Boomer's older sister.
Gobble (voiced by Brian Drummond in North America and Terrence Mann in the UK) is a giant brown badger.
Tack (voiced by Matt Hill in North America and Charlie Ryan in the UK) is an orange-yellow creature.

Mim-Mim believes there's the seed of the hole in a garden. The friends chase a really fast plant, which sprouts in a surprising manner, because Kate wonders to get back to the garden.

Tack creates an invention that can take his favorite colors from Crayon Cliffs, which before turned into gray and loses his own in the process. Then leash it down, which Tack is sad and dismayed, running low on color quality. Mim-Mim saves the colorful machine to send Tack before demanding all their color makes me happy, not sad.

Kate is looking for a box of mittens, and his flurry of Mitten kittens have overtaken Lily and Boomer's house. Kate has clever spots to put on mittens, much to Mim-Mim's friends feeling cute and both end up in Winter Waterfalls.

Kate is playing with Mim-Mim when she realizes that her lost tail has come off. In the middle of an ocean near Mimiloo, Mim-Mim feels tailless decide to be friends anymore in Mimiloo and agreed with his tail on a back of course, to pay special attention caught with his tail back.
6	6	"Mirror Mirror"	September 8, 2014 (2014-09-08)
In the backyard, the family are having a picnic and accidentally got eaten by the muffin. In Mimiloo, much to his confusion, Tack and Gobble decide not to be friends anymore, causing mirror to split mirror into Mim-Mims part of his accidentally breaking some other things. Despite that, the other's things are a mystery, including Kate figures breaking outside the mirror.

Boomer is bigger, the friends are totally scared to see the original size of Boomer is made.
8	8	"Mim-Mim's Moon Mishap"	September 10, 2014 (2014-09-10)
Kate wants to make friends with the man on the moon. In Mimiloo, Kate and Mim-Mim accidentally blast off in Tack's new rocket ship. When they land, they meet Rumbly, a little guy made of rocks – who must be the man on the moon. Kate and Mim-Mim must help him repair his house, then send all of his friends home to Mimiloo.

Kate assumes that Marco can play a funny April Fools' Day joke on her. In Mimiloo, a trickster plays funny gags on Kate and her friends, leading into the spirit of silly tricks themselves. They figure out what the original jokester is, things aren't always what they seem.

Kate is building a sandcastle, but the wind chimes she places on top aren't working. In Mimiloo, after Mim-Mim accidentally ruins a music recording, when Kate, Mim-Mim and their friends visit the Singing Seas where Callie, a giant octopus, keeps her mega music maker. Unfortunately, the music recording is broken and Kate leads her on a quest to fix the island-sized instrument.

Mim-Mim and his friends are playing on the beach, suddenly, their beach toys go missing as Lily fears that the toys are in Lost Island, guarded by Callie.

Kate is riding her bike for the first time without training wheels and she keeps falling. In Mimiloo, Kate and her friends must learn to fly giant wind flowers. In order to surprise Lily at her spring-thing party, Mim-Mim has never flown a flower. Later, he regards Kate must gain his confidence to become a fully-fledged flower pilot.

When Marco (Kate's dad) catches a cold and she wants to help him to get better. In Mimiloo, Mim-Mim and his friends Gobble and Tack, who caught a bug, are trying to research the case of the giggly mystery Merry-Berry-Bush berries, especially Boomer.

A family set camp in the backyard and she feels nervous. In the night of Mimiloo, she and Mim-Mim find Boomer with a case of the hiccups too much. Until they journey to Happy Hollow--a place which is full of Boogideebears, this time Boomer is working until the hiccups are gone.

Mim-Mim becomes royal and makes the clouds wander up into the sky and is shaped like a castle. Due to his castle flying away, much to Mim-Mim's horror. It is possible that the castle but how to get it down and get it up and float away safely. The friends are escaping the sky, who lose weight in the cloud castle.

In the Winter Waterfalls, Kate and her friends go snow bowling, she realizes there is enough snow to make a snow fort while using snowballs, bowling balls, and snowmen pinballs with her friends.

Kate’s friends are making up for Valentine’s Day.

Kate and Mim-Mim helps his lost favorite book.

Kate is making a balloon buddy in the whole house and Mim-Mim wants one. Back in Mimiloo, Kate and Mim-Mim and their friends are trying to find a balloon so they can up the balloon tree near Mimiloo, which is going too far and almost ruin the balloon buddy. Due to the balloons being all flat and droopy, Kate must work to re-inflating balloons before the Big Balloon Parade begins. While they come to the Big Balloon Parade, Kate and his friends are having a big surprise for Mim-Mim by saving their balloons. In the real world, Kate is making balloons to pass it to Mim-Mim and still has it. She is showing Mom and Dad outside and she's told to get a test for flying and inflating balloons before the next episode segment rolls.

On a night of shooting stars, Kate wonders what the stars are like. In Mimiloo, Kate’s friends find a lost falling star headed towards the Forever Forest. Mim-Mim names the star Twinkly, his friends along the way to help him go back to his home in the sky.

The episode begins while Kate says "today it's Christmas" and tells Mom and Dad, they wish to open the present and wait until comes back. She wishes to go to Mimiloo for Christmas, she imagines Mim-Mim (pretending Santa Claus as a delightful costume wish), meeting his friends: Boomer, Lily, Gooble and Tack, together saying "merry Christmas" and welcomes back. Otherwise, both prepare to get ready for Christmas before Santa comes, and Mim-Mim wonders that reach up to the star and catch it. Then, Kate builds his sled to the big test along with Mim-Mim behind, after carrying them packing and delivering presents on the back, she is starting to fly in front from the reindeers stomping to take prepare off and free riding themselves. During the blizzard delay, while everyone is getting cold and shivering to talk and sacrificing the dilemma that before ruined Christmas, Kate and Mim-Mim caught up on a sled. However, the two didn't work to push the buttons and reconcile riding their sled to the pit stop snow while it crashed where it lands, before both end up destroying and crashing through the Christmas tree, and starts to go wrong until Santa comes. Due to Tack's wailing to lay down the snow and supposed not to happen, everyone groans and misses Christmas time. Oncever worrying about Kate, they don't know how to fix up the tree. Everybody fixes the tree before Santa comes and joins in, he is declared but one of his folks to listen for the entire "a merry Christmas wish", much to his delight and happiness. Kate and Mim-Mim returning home, back in the real world, Kate is excited to see the Christmas fight opening present shared with Mom and Dad and the ending credits roll. Note: This is the first 26-minute episode special of this season.

A DVD release of the series, titled "Funny Bunny Friend", was released by FremantleMedia Home Entertainment in the United Kingdom on 23 March 2015, a year prior to its TV premiere.^[7]

Awards

In 2015, Kate & Mim-Mim was nominated for a Leo Award for Best Overall Sound in an Animation Program or Series (for the episode titled "Bunch O' Boomers").^[8]
