Predator: Badlands is an upcoming American science fiction action film in the Predator franchise. It is the sixth film in the mainline series and eighth in the overall franchise. The film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg, and co-written by Trachtenberg and Patrick Aison. It stars Elle Fanning.

While traversing a wasteland, two sisters discover their horrifying past.

Development

In February 2024, it was revealed that a standalone film in the Predator franchise was in development titled Badlands, with Dan Trachtenberg directing and co-written by Patrick Aison. ^[1]^[2] In June, Elle Fanning was in talks to join the film in the lead role.^[3] Fanning's casting was confirmed on August 27.^[4]

Filming

Principal photography began by August 27, 2024, in New Zealand.^[4]
