Yalı Çapkını (English: The Golden Boy, also called Kingfisher) is a Turkish romance drama television series based on true story created by Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu.[1] The series revolves around a forced marriage with plenty of intrigue, lies, deception and dark family secrets.

Plot

Ferit Korhan is a spoiled heir of the rich Korhan family in Istanbul. He spend his daily life having endless parties and new girlfriends. Ferit's behavior upsets his grandfather, the respectable businessman Halis Korhan. He decides to marry Ferit to a suitable girl from his hometown Gaziantep and the task of finding the bride is give to Ifakat, the eldest daughter in law of Halis. Although Ferit does not want to get married, he cannot go against his grandfather's words. İfakat finds Suna, the older daughter of the Şanlı family in Gaziantep, suitable. On the night of the proposal, Ferit chooses Seyran the younger daughter as his bride shocking both Suna and her sister Seyran. Kazim accepts the proposal and thus Ferit and Seyran get married and their journey as a couple starts in Istanbul.
