Hold up a second on deletion
Not 100% certain, but this guy may be somewhat notable. From what I can tell, this article refers to Auguste Joseph Charon. He appears to be at least a minor historical figure, and he has an article on French Wik.ipedia.Pro. ScottW 23:44, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

I've rewritten the article and added a source. From what I can tell, there may be a good bit more to the story, but someone with a better knowledge of French history will need to pick it up from here. Almost two hundred years after the fact, the guy is still written about for his role in various conspiracies and his subsequent execution. I think that should establish a level of notability at least high enough to avoid a speedy deletion, and perhaps enough to warrant a decent article. For now, at least, it's a readable stub.
