Talk:Billy Idol

Brighton Polytechnic?

Surely that should be Sussex University (East Slope is a section of the University of Sussex campus, not Brighton Poly). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.241.229.204 (talk) 10:25, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

filmography

Where's his filmography? I notice on the pages of music stars they usually list it on a separate wiki page, but can't seem to find his. Would a new page have to be created or do we just put a box on this one? --Stevehim (talk) 15:49, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Missing info

In the section Whiplash Smile there is mention of a person called Lister that is written as though previous mentions have been made but, if they were, they have been removed. The section also has no citations. 86.139.160.211 (talk) 18:48, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why?

"In 1958, when Idol was two years old, his parents moved to Patchogue, on Long Island, New York, United States. The family returned to the UK four years later with Idol and a younger child Jane (who had been born in the United States), settling in Dorking, Surrey"

First of all, you don't block someone when they first edit sources on the site. I am trying to make this only better. So don't mention me in a text, so everyone could see. Ok? This site has been wrong for the last 5 years. I got tired of all the invalid info, so I joined. Not trying to be mean. Ok?

Billy Idol a Baby Boomer, not Gen X

Removed reference to Idol as Gen X, since as someone born in 1955 he was clearly a baby boomer (1945-60) although he may have influenced Gen X youth culture and may have even coined the term.

Gen X is his band name, not the generation he belongs to. Cranberry Wood (talk) 13:32, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"whiskey and pills" and likeness 2022

his likeness, or, i guess, himself (named as Billy Idol in the game) - appears in the German video game Elex 2 performing his song "Whiskey and Pills" at a festival. 73.38.115.144 (talk) 00:06, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Anglican

Is there any proof that both Billy's parents were Anglicans? His mother was O'Sullivan from Cork in Ireland? MairiC (talk) 14:55, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
