Talk:Biloxi Shuckers

Why is there an error with this source?

In the part of the page where I updated the Shuckers' plan for home games at the start of the 2015 season, I used this reference tag: [1]

I looked over it and double-checked the code; however, when the page was loaded with the new attempt to cite, this error came up: Cite error: A list-defined reference named "milb150205" is not used in the content (see the help page).

Frankly, I rarely edit anymore, so I'm left wondering what I did wrong. Somehow please help. Thanks!

It's because the reference was inserted in the {{reflist}} template but not included in the body of the article. It took me a little while to figure out what was going on; I've never experience this error before. :) NatureBoyMD (talk) 23:19, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccuracies

The franchise did indeed come from Huntsville and Nashville before that, which is why it is incorrect to jettison the statistics. Even if the new owner(s) want it that way, the history is the history. However, it is NOT accurate to say the Shuckers began as a Southern League expansion franchise. Instead, it was born as a 1971 Eastern League expansion franchise. In 1977, the Eastern League agreed to release two franchises, the other being Quebec, to the Southern League where they became (respectively) the Nashville Sounds and the Memphis Chicks. The Chicks have also moved, having been bumped when AAA expanded into Memphis in 1998; that team is now the Jackson Generals of Jackson, Tennessee. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.134.31.46 (talk) 02:08, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
