Mrs W. C. Gladstane played at this theatre in 1857. In August 1870 she opened at the Princess Theatre, Melbourne, in Frou-Frou, using a translation by one F. Williams, stage-manager at the Boston Museum theatre. Was this translation actually performed in Boston and was Mrs Gladstane involved. The year would have to be late 1869 or early 1870, as she arrived in Melbourne mid-1870, presumably with an unauthorized copy of the script in her luggage.
