Hmm. The sidewalk in the recently added picture certainly bulbs out, but I don't see any indication that it's a bus stop. -- Jmabel 22:30, Aug 28, 2004 (UTC)

"Benefits include...additional parking spaces"? Are you serious? How could that possibly be true? It seems obvious to me that anything that "replaces roadway that would otherwise be part of a parking lane" is removing parking spaces. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here. The user is likely referring to the fact that a recessed bus bay needs run-in and run-out tapers (the bus cannot "jump" sideways into the bay"). A build-out removes the need for these tapers where no parking would be allowed either. Therefore comparing TWO BUS STOPS, the one with the build-out has more parking.
