Wide format image

I have tried putting the wide format image on the page without making it a panoramic, but it appears so small in the right hand column, that it is unclear. I would like to put it in the central part in its natural proportions, without having to be scrolled, but I do not yet know how to do that. At first I did not remove the small image of the green as I thought it best for someone else to choose, as happened when I added an image of the Crown. I cannot sign this as a problem with my user name only currently being useable in Commons and not in Wik.ipedia.Pro is being resolved. I would like to discuss with Charlesdrakew as I can see from some of his other interventions he has more experience than I have. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.39.104.255 (talk) 09:14, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Shurely if the youths lit the bonfire two weeks early, that would have been October 2005? Eightyuu 15:03, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Chiddingfold Bonfire

I seem to remember that the early burning of the Chiddingfold bonfire took place on 5th October 2005, 1 month before the scheduled event. I have got some photos of this, as I live nearby and photographed it happening. I didn't want to change the article in case I'm wrong. Does anyone know?

I've put the info box in so that it is similar to other places in surrey. See List of places in Surrey SuzanneKn 20:33, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photos for the page

I live in Chiddingfold and have a few photos that could be used on the page. I'm not sure how to put them onto the page and whether or not people think that they would add anything. Please could you let me know. Simon 15:48, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Stranglers

"...for a while during the early seventies..." Would not "during their key formative period" or some such be more informative, precise and make it more noteworthy than the X amount of other well-known people having merely resided in the parish (and who are not mentioned)? The No Mercy and Song by Song books cover the period re references, alas my copies are not to hand. Kmitch87 (talk) 20:30, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
