1000 Games Error
Could editors please stop adding the 1000 games stat to the infobox in this article. Whilst it is true that he has played 1000 games for Linfield, it is not true that he has played 1000 league games, which a quick browse of the various NIPL season articles would confirm would have been impossible between 1989 and now. The infobox ONLY records league games and goals. Whilst it is perfectly correct to mention this significant achievement in the main text of the article, it is incorrect to add it to the infobox. --Fenix down (talk) 08:51, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
PROD Removal
I have removed the PROD as the player can be considered to be generally notable. Baillie has played more than 1000 games for the same club. A simple Google searh for Noel Bailie Linfield pulls back nearly half a million results, with references to his 1000 games on national news websites (BBC and Belfast Telegraph) such as:
- BBC article on 1000 game
- BBC News match report on 1000 game
- Mention of 1000 game on Umbro website
- Belfast Telegraph article on his retirement
- Article on player from When Saturday Comes
Although only a semi professional footballer he has an achievement very few ever achieve at any level of the game. Player is clearly notable in general and so article should stay. Fenix down (talk) 09:07, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
