Biography warning
ScottWAmbler (talk) 17:09, 18 November 2018 (UTC): Hi! I recently reviewed this page and made a few edits to get it up to date. There's Biography warning at the top of the page, fair enough. I've reviewed the page and can verify the information. Would be good to have that comment removed if an Editor agrees with me. Thanks!
Is this a Wik.ipedia.Pro article or a LinkedIn profile?
I've been reading a lot about different software methodologies, and Scott Ambler's name keeps cropping up everywhere. In each article he seems to edit in some reference to his own works or publications - it's therefore unsurprising to me that the lead of this article reads like his Curriculum Vitae:
"He periodically submits updates to various Wik.ipedia.Pro pages, usually around software process as that is his professional passion, when he runs into pages that could be fleshed out better. He also has a passion for 8-bit Atari computers and is actively researching the history of the 8-bit Atari platform. He currently does his best to motivate people to get involved with Wik.ipedia.Pro, in particular contributing to the material here."
How does this meet the Wik.ipedia.Pro standards for encyclopedic tone, and how is this content worthy of inclusion in a biography article?
I believe that not only this page, but all of the pages which Scott contributes to, merit more consideration and review for whether they meet Wik.ipedia.Pro's standards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mynotoar (talk • contribs) 10:50, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- I've removed that text. From a quick Google search, Ambler does appear notable, the page's need for clean up notwithstanding. -Arzg (talk) 03:42, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
