Frankfurt Galaxy
Could someone add a reference to the team of frankfurt galaxy and the nfl europa into the first section, those games had over 33.000 visitors regularly and should be mentioned there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.12.67.172 (talk) 23:44, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Commerzbank-Arena → Waldstadion — I'm pretty confident that this stadium is much more commonly known by its unsponsored name. — Dancarney (talk) 12:37, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

- Confidence isn't enough - I regularly hear reference to the Commerzbank-Arena. Please provide some evidence. Knepflerle (talk) 14:45, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- "Since its 2002 makeover Eintracht Frankfurt's ground has officially been the Commerzbank Arena, but it's still the Waldstadion to most" [1] Dancarney (talk) 15:07, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- Support Nearly all of the supporters name it like this. -Lemmy- (talk) 11:14, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose - A Google search for "commerzbank-arena" -waldstadion gives 590,000 hits, while a search for waldstadion -"commerzbank-arena" gives 382,000 hits. Commerzbank-Arena is clearly more commonly used. – PeeJay 22:47, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- Weak Support. Unlike the Ruhrstadion / Rewirpowerstadion debate, there does seem to be more of a leaning towards the current commercial name here. Like Peejay's english search, German Google searches show a similar ratio of almost 2 to 1 in favour of the present name. However, a number of supporters sites that I've found tend to support the traditional name. For example, page 7 of this season review produced by a supporters site contains text which (as far as I know) roughly translates as "No-one with the Ultras would call the Frankfurt stadium the Commerzbank Arena - for them it will forever be the Waldstadion". A search on another fan site has Waldstadion turning up almost 4 times as much as Commerzbank Arena (sorry, you have to do the actual site search yourselves!). I originally opposed this change, but it seems usage among supporters does seem to favour the old name over the new. Bettia (rawr!) 15:29, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Usage amongst the supporters doesn't matter. Usage in all English-language publications is. WP:UE and WP:COMMONNAMES are crystal-clear on this. Knepflerle (talk) 15:58, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Translated text from the Commerzbank Arena's article at the German Wik.ipedia.Pro
This month, I had discovered that the Commerzbank Arena's corresponding article on the German Wik.ipedia.Pro had 3 1/2 times more text than in the English Wik.ipedia.Pro article. So I decided to do a major edit to this article by using translated text from the German Wik.ipedia.Pro article. I have made over two edits so far. And I plan to finish the job by next week. Then other users working for WikiProject Germany will help by cleaning up the translated text and I and those users will help promote this article from Start-Class to B-Class or perhaps GA-class. More information needs to be added about the original stadium. Jim856796 (talk) 11:50, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- I've done a copyedit to convert the translation into more idiomatic English, but I did notice that a lot of the information is repeated within the article. I've tried to trim some of the more obvious bits but it might want going over in a bit more detail to improve the flow of the article. As an example, in the "History" section (1.4), the names of various artists who have played at the stadium are listed. Then again in section 2.2.1. Then again in section 4. It seems unneccessary - any thoughts as to where best to cut? Brickie (talk) 14:02, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
The twin stadium from Romania
FRF(Romanian Football Federation) is building in the capital, Bucharest, an (almost) identical stadium called National Arena (formerly known as "23 August" and "Lia Manoliu"). It will be ready in the second quarter of 2011 and the inaugural game will be between the national fotball teams of Romania and Argentina(obligatory presence of Leo Messi stipuladed in the future game's contract).
