Electronic cigarettes

Removed these, since they are not, despite the name, cigarettes. Cigarettes are tobacco containers that are combusted.

If we go down the road of adding e-cigs, because of nicotine and replacement, then we must also add other NRT (nicotine replacement) products, such as patches, gum etc. If we go by looks then we must also add candy cigarettes. --Kim D. Petersen 01:12, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Herbal cigarettes probably should be removed by that criteria. Yobol (talk) 01:14, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe. Although the case is stronger there. --Kim D. Petersen 01:18, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
We could also add a new section (replacement) with two new lines with NRT and ENDS. Which would solve things amicably? --Kim D. Petersen 01:20, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not a bad plan. I think the removed items could be there in some sort of group. It would serve visitors. Maybe a group named "Related" or something? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:52, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'd be OK with that. A tobacco replacement section would probably be kind of outside the scope of this navbox (for instance, I'd add non smoked tobacco before I'd add NRT). Yobol (talk) 02:24, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If tobacco replacements are outside the scope of the navbox then surely e-cigs, which contain no tobacco, don't belong in it?--FergusM1970Let's play Freckles 01:11, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
...and I added herbal and electronic cigarettes to a "related product" section; should non smoking tobacco products and/or NRT products be here too? Yobol (talk) 16:37, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If you are going down that route - then yes - NRT products should be there as well. At the moment i can't see the reason why you are only including these two.
But mainly i want to know How do you define a "related product"? If it is looks, then candy cigarette are related? If not, If it is nicotine - then herbal cigarettes aren't related, but NRT's are. If it is combustion then herbal cigarettes are, but e-cigs, candy cigs and NRT's aren't .... --Kim D. Petersen 01:01, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. If e-cigs are a "related product" then so are conventional NRT products; like most e-cigs they contain nicotine, and like e-cigs they don't contain tobacco, so including one but not the other looks, unintentionally I'm sure, POV.--FergusM1970Let's play Freckles 01:09, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
