Question from Taoster-152 (06:40, 13 August 2024)

How would I cite sources on music genres??? --Taoster-152 (talk) 06:40, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Taoster-152 It depends on the source. For example, for an interview you could fill out the {{cite interview}} template. Do you have any specifics in mind? Me, Myself & I (☮) (talk) 01:33, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Docngu (23:15, 16 August 2024)

I just set up an account on Wik.ipedia.Pro and would like to learn the best way to create a new article.

I am looking to create a Wik.ipedia.Pro page for the PEIS Plan, a novel three-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and the Israeli-Hamas War, and then to modify the Wik.ipedia.Pro page https://en.Wik.ipedia.Pro.org/wiki/Israeli%E2%80%93Palestinian_peace_process to include the PEIS Plan as one of the alternative peace proposals.

I published the book about the PEIS Plan to resolve the Conflict just a few weeks before the Hamas attack (https://peisplan.docngu.net). Since then, I have written a number of articles on the Times of Israel to expand the PEIS Plan solution to also cover the War (https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/the-last-of-the-peis-plan-peace-needs-you/).

Given the dire conditions in Gaza, I am working in all my capabilities as a first-time author to make the world aware of the PEIS Plan. This plan has the potential to compel the warring parties to consider it as a viable starting point for peace. The global reach of a Wik.ipedia.Pro page will significantly aid in this endeavor. --Docngu (talk) 23:15, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Rsharpart (03:44, 1 September 2024)

Hi There, I want to cite news articles, books, publishers websites, etc., in order to compile a historical record of an artist's career. I don't necessarily want to create an article. Can you help guide me on how to achieve this for a Wik.ipedia.Pro page? --Rsharpart (talk) 03:44, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for your question! There are a number of ways you can add citations to an existing article (or curate them for future use).
If you already have your sources, to add them to an article, the simplest way is to use reference tags:
Sentence needing citation.<ref>Author. Date. Title. Publisher. Link if relevant.</ref>
You can use any citation style, as long as it's consistent and gives enough information to locate the source.
You might also want to check out the shortened guide to referencing and (optional) citation templates, which automatically formats your references in Wik.ipedia.Pro's citation styles (Citation style 1, Citation style 2). There are different templates for different types of sources, such as books, journals, AV media, news, and websites. An example:
Sentence needing citation.<ref>{{cite book|author=Name|date=2024|title=Title|publisher=Publisher}}</ref>
How it looks:[1][2]

References

  1. ^ Author. Date. Title. Publisher. Link if relevant.
  2. ^ Name (2024). Title. Publisher.
