Image without license

Unspecified source/license for File:ECSLogo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:ECSLogo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wik.ipedia.Pro's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wik.ipedia.Pro can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wik.ipedia.Pro:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 17:46, 10 September 2014 (UTC) RAJLYNT ROBIN,[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ECS Electrochemistry Letters requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wik.ipedia.Pro. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://eel.ecsdl.org/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wik.ipedia.Pro takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wik.ipedia.Pro to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wik.ipedia.Pro:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wik.ipedia.Pro:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wik.ipedia.Pro's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wik.ipedia.Pro's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of ECS Solid State Letters

Hello Rgerth,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged ECS Solid State Letters for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. AnupamTalk 16:23, 2 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Electrochemical and Solid State Letters for deletion

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Mr. Guye (talk) 21:05, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Rgerth. We welcome your contributions to Wik.ipedia.Pro, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wik.ipedia.Pro, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wik.ipedia.Pro's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wik.ipedia.Pro article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wik.ipedia.Pro:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wik.ipedia.Pro's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wik.ipedia.Pro's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wik.ipedia.Pro when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Randykitty (talk) 21:41, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Interface Journal Cover.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wik.ipedia.Pro. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". File permission problem with File:Old ECS Logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Old ECS Logo.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wik.ipedia.Pro:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wik.ipedia.Pro:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wik.ipedia.Pro:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wik.ipedia.Pro's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 17:05, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Alvin J. Salkind has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wik.ipedia.Pro policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Problems with upload of File:Alvin Salkind photo.tif

Thanks for uploading File:Alvin Salkind photo.tif. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wik.ipedia.Pro appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alvin J. Salkind, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page AgO. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free image File:ECSLogo.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:ECSLogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wik.ipedia.Pro under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wik.ipedia.Pro. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wik.ipedia.Pro (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:33, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Rgerth, and welcome to Wik.ipedia.Pro. All or some of your addition(s) to History of electrochemistry has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wik.ipedia.Pro, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:12, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Rgerth. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Electrochemical Society, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wik.ipedia.Pro article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wik.ipedia.Pro's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:13, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
